What we do
What is virtualization?
Virtualization is the process of separating the software layer of a computer from the hardware layer of a computer. A new layer is placed between the two and it allows users to maximize physical resources. Every computer has four attributes: CPU, Memory, Storage & a Network Connection. It functions by running multiple, independent virtual operating systems on a single computer while using these attributes from the host computer or server.
How will it benefit my company?
Virtualization allows for more efficient use of IT equipment and labor resources. Virtualization can lower overall IT costs. Moving to virtual servers from physical servers reduces the number of physical servers your business requires, as virtualization allows you to do more with less. This reduces the power needs and cooling costs associated with physical servers as well as saves on the amount of office space required to house these servers.
Benefits of Virtualization:
- Save energy, go green
- Reduce the overall footprint of your data center
- Increase uptime
- Better DR solutions
- Provide faster server provisioning while isolating applications
